City faces backlash after installing spikes on benches to deter homeless people from squatting

A Montreal Housing development has removed “anti-homeless spikes” from a ledge in front of its building after  facing a “twitter storm” of criticism. These devises are been increasingly being installed in cities around the globe to deter loitering.
